June Rousso, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist, psychotherapist, and life coach working with children and adults in private practice, and with a special interest in character strengths. By building character we can boost self-confidence and adopt sound values to guide our actions. Much of her philosophy and writing is based upon principles of positive psychology.
Dr. Rousso is the author of We All Live on This Planet Together (2017) that addresses looking at the positive in life, and The Little Book of Character Strengths (2018) that introduces the reader to the VIA classification of twenty-four specific strengths. In I Don’t Want to Be a Bully, she applies the principles of character-building as an anti-bullying strategy. Dr. Rousso graduated from the New School for Social Research, and holds certificates in coaching from Positive Acorn and in positive psychology from The Flourishing Center in New York City. Dr. Rousso lives in New York City with her husband and two dogs. She has two grown children, a daughter and son, and has a variety of interests including yoga, singing, playwriting, and studying Spanish as a second language.
