Special Information for Consultants
You can now present clients with an expanded report of their VIA Survey results, called the VIA Interpretive Report. It displays raw data scores, comparative rankings, graphs
showing the client's character strengths' load in virtue categories, the position of signature
strengths on the head/heart, self/others circumplex graph and a detailed description of the client's top or signature strengths.
The report has been designed for clinicians, life and business coaches, organizational development consultants, social workers and others. When your client completes the VIA Survey, the results are immediately emailed to the purchaser of the code (consultant) to print and present.
To obtain reports sent to your email address, purchase a Consultant Code for as many reports as you expect to use (there is no expiration date on codes). Codes are $40 each, with discounts for 11 reports or more. Your code is immediately emailed to you at the end of the purchase process. Clients will simply enter your code when prompted before they start the VIA Survey. Their reports will be e-mailed to you immediately.
To obtain reports sent to each individual in your group at a discounted rate, obtain a Discount Coupon Code by contacting Senior Editor Linda Parker at
lindap@viacharacter.org. Each client will purchase his or her own report at your discounted rate. They will enter their discount coupon code when they purchase their report, which will be immediately presented to them. This is an excellent way to have large workshop groups buy their own reports at $30 each, or for students to purchase theirs at a student rate of $20 each.

Q.What is the difference in the codes?
A. The key difference is:
Consultant Codes: Purchased by you at a discount cost, reports are emailed to you when clients take the survey.
Discount Coupon Codes: The report is purchased by the survey taker at a discounted cost. The report will be available to them immediately when they take the survey.
Q. What is the discount schedule?
A. $35 for 11 to 20 reports
$30 for 21 plus
$20 for students at colleges and universities
Q. Can I get the VIA Personal Character Profile (expanded 17-page report) on a survey I took on the Authentic Happiness website, or Happier.com?
A. Unfortunately, no. The report is issued by VIA on data collected through our site and database.
Q. Can I get a report for a survey I took last year?
A. Yes. For any VIA-IS you took on the VIA website.
Q. Why is VIA charging for these reports?
A. The Mayerson Foundation continues to make the VIA Survey and results free to anyone, worldwide. The new, expanded report required a significant investment to develop the database to provide it. The VIA Institute hopes that funds from the sale of these reports will support program development, education and research in the future.
